The first “Munroc” litter was born in 2004, the product of Silvia Timmerman’s Hunter (AmCh, CHIB,DtCh(VDH) DtSchCh, PL.Ch. Gordon's Dream Admire, HZP, VGP1P., FT., Btr) and Rhonda Cornum’s Grey (CH Celtic Arlyss Scot’s Grey). One particular individual from that litter, Amber (AmCh, Dt CH Munroc Forest Amber, JH VGP) was originally sold to an owner in Austria. There she earned essentially every hunting title available. We had the opportunity to show her at the World Dog Show in 2006; it was the first time I had seen her as an adult. I tried to buy her back then without success. But when the opportunity arose in 2008, and Amber returned to Munroc and the USA, carrying a litter of puppies sired by a gorgeous Australian import. This litter resulted in two influential girls: Heather - (Munroc Flying High Over Somerled) and Destiny - (GCH Munroc Destination Success)
Heather gave us Shadow (AmCh, Some Rocka Fella), who sired Libby and Captain.
Destiny, when bred to DC Gordon Hill Ready or Not, gave us Isobel (GCH CH Munroc Isabelle at Shaker Hill NA, NAJ) and Munroc Calamity Jane. Both girls have been influential in the progress made in producing truly classic Gordon Setters.
Later, Amber was bred to Ch Gordon Hill October Skye, with the resultant Willow (AmCH, PlCH Munroc Celtic Willow) and Rowen (AmCH Munroc Celtis Rowan), also influential in the growing line of classic dual purpose Gordon Setters.
